Sophos Security Bundle Update
Sophos Security Bundles are changing for XG firewalls, with options now in line with the new in 2021 XGS firewall series. The also recently introduced Xstream Protection is the new standard for Sophos security services. Sophos has simplified bundle options for the XG firewall, going from the long-standing group of four to two: Xstream Protection & Standard Protection.
That means, as of July 30, 2021, gone for XG firewall customers are the legacy Sophos security bundle options known as EnterpriseGuard, EnterpriseGuard Plus, FullGuard, and FullGuard Plus service bundles (and their associated hardware counterparts EnterpriseProtect and TotalProtect). Those with existing subscriptions under the previous bundles get automatically migrated to one of the new Xstream options. Take a look at the chart below for a rundown.

What Do I Need To Do?
If you have a Sophos Security bundle with time left on your XG firewall subscription, you won't need to take any action. Your subscription automatically updates to one of the options outlined above. But do note when the time to renew arrives, if you previously had a FullGuard or FullGuard Plus subscription, you'll now need to renew not only with Xstream Protection, but also a la carte Email Protection & Webserver Protection security services to maintain the same level of coverage. Anyone now migrated over to Xstream Protection gets a bonus - Central Orchestration, which makes setting up SD-WAN VPN a breeze.
